There is a difference between paystubs and paycheques. Paystubs are also referred to as earning statements. Payslips are typically records of wages which includes employee's or contractor's information such as legal name, address, social insurance number (SIN), total hours worked, pay rare, gross wages, net pay, earnings, and deductions related to taxes and employment benefits. Paycheques are simply checks issued by an Employer to its agents stipulating the wages earned by the employee or contractor within a specified pay time. Paystubs are used to calculate year-to-date payroll(s). They are necessary as proof of income, when filing contributions, and taxes. Whereas paycheques are not.
Yes. Generating paystubs using our software is legal if you are the employer or authorized representative who creates paycheques for your agents (including employees and contractors). The generated paystubs are legal documents and qualify as proof of income for the recipient. All paystubs can calculate federal and provincial withholdings based on Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Revenu Québec, and an approved Employer's handbook or guide.
Yes. You can download the generated paystubs from the software in three (3) ways
1. in a standard PDF format,
2. by emailing yourself or your agents a copy, or
3. by requesting to be mailed a hard copy to your mailing address. Note that shipping costs may apply depending on your jurisdiction.
You can also view or edit previously generated paystubs from the software. You can also print the generated paystubs and you certainly do not need a special kind of paper to print the documents.

Simply sign up and click on Document Creation. Follow the individual steps provided and you will be done within minutes. For paystubs, don't forget to enter the required information such as Business Name, HST/GST number, Province, Employee's/Contractor's Name and ID, Last 4 digits of SIN, Pay schedule, wage/hourly rate, and Stub code. You also have the options to customize the template under this section.
Yes. You can save any information entered and return to it at any time.
Yes. You can download the created documents several times, make several copies, and print several copies as well. You can also rename every copy you make.
Yes. Our calculations are based on the information you input into the software. So, our software accurately calculates federal taxes, provincial taxes, CPP, EI, pension, and other related deductions according to Canada Revenue Agency, Revenu Québec, and an approved Employer's handbook or guide. If there is any error with the calculations due to no fault of yours, please contact us immediately. However, we assure you that the computations of our software are accurate and abides by the applicable regulatory guidelines.
The average delivery time for all electronically created/generated documents is immediately.
Yes. You can correct generated documents including paystubs. Simply click on the Document Creation tab to edit or correct a document.
You can generate T4 slips for your employees or contractors during the tax seasons. Ideally, T4 for the preceding year can be generated and sent out within the first two (2) months of a new year. For instance, you can generate and send a T4 return for the year 2021 for your employee(s) sometime in January or February 2022. You can also issue T4 slips to your employees or contractors electronically but ensure that the mode of delivery is secured as the slips must be confidential. Also, you can easily do this using our software.
Any employer that has paid its employee employment income, commissions, taxable allowances and benefits, or any other remuneration will need to file a T4 slip with the CRA.
